About Wellkell
Hi, I'm Kelly the owner of Wellkell Coaching.
My passion for health started when my own health hit rock bottom in 2018 which left me bed bound for over 3 years on and off.
As a child I was always sick, mostly on my birthdays for some strange reason. Whether it was a average cold, constant ear infections or stomach bugs, I never had the best immune system. Without knowing the effects of overusing antibiotics, it was making my immune system worse.
In my teenage years I was suffering from bloating, fatigue, mouth ulcers, painful periods, and the list could go on of lots of different symptoms. My body was trying to tell me there was a problem which I was told it was normal.
Into my early 20’s I was diagnosed with further conditions IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), Endometriosis, Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety. By the age of 26 I was taking 10 different medications to manage the symptoms of all these diagnosis's, and in 2018 out of nowhere I was having emergency surgery for a heart valve repair, which although the surgery was successful, the recovery was not.
What should have been a straightforward recovery turned into 3 years of exhaustion, rock bottom depression hit me as every day I felt so tired that I was unable to leave my bed. In 2019 I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, POTS and Fibromyalgia. I was told by surgeons and physicians I would get better soon just rest, but after 3 years of resting I decided to take back control of my life and my health.
Whenever I had a bout of energy I would read research papers, listen to the latest health podcasts, learn about exercise, mindset and nutrition. I created small goals for myself and I finally pulled myself out of bed, began slowly moving my body, found my love for spirituality and started to consume whole food which healed my gut, and to heal me mentally. My interest in health and wellbeing then became a passion making me want to help others like myself and I studied and graduated as a health coach.
I finally stepped into the new version of me, not the person before all the sickness as she didn’t take care of herself as I do now. Within my journey I found my passion for meditation, cooking, painting, become a psychic medium, hiking, reading, yoga, self love, giving back to others and so much more…
Helping others is more than a passion, it is my purpose to support others on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves; whether that’s with my membership, one to one or woodland walks.
